    Do these gaskets impact clearances / preload?

We found that these do not throw off the preload on the gear stack. The compressed thickness on the gasket is thin enough that it should not effect the preload in the vast majority of gearboxes. Unless your hard up against the low or high end of the range, the 2-2.5 thou of the compressed gaskets will fit well within the recommended range.
If you're not sure, you can try a single set.

    Are these reusable

The material is a paper fiber/buna-N rubber blend. If you're extremely careful you might be able to reuse them, but it depends on how careful you are when removing them.
Typically they're only 1 use, but we have successfully used them more than once with extreme care.
